Free Student Mental Health Risk Flag Tool

An anonymous self-assessment interface for students to identify burnout and stress signals — with tailored support resources and optional advisor notification.

Fully anonymous · No data stored · For awareness only — not a clinical diagnostic tool

This is a wellbeing awareness tool, not a clinical assessment. If you are in immediate distress or crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or your institution's counselling service immediately.
How are you feeling lately?

This check-in takes about 2 minutes. All responses are anonymous — nothing is stored on any server. Answer honestly to get the most relevant support suggestions.

How the Wellbeing Check-In Works

Follow these steps to get results in under a minute

01
Students complete the anonymous check-in
The self-assessment covers six wellbeing dimensions — academic pressure, sleep quality, social connection, anxiety, motivation, and self-care. No name, ID, or identifying information is collected.
02
A personalised wellbeing summary is generated
Based on responses, the tool calculates a wellbeing score and flags any dimensions that may need attention. Low-risk students receive general self-care tips; high-risk students see urgent support signposting.
03
Tailored support resources are shown
Students are shown the institution's counselling contacts, crisis lines, and self-help resources appropriate to their score level. Advisors can configure which resources appear using the Advisor Setup tab.

"We piloted this with 200 first-year students during induction week. The anonymous format meant students were far more honest than they would be in a face-to-face screening. We identified 14 students who needed immediate follow-up that we would otherwise not have reached until mid-semester."

"The six-dimension breakdown is exactly what our welfare team needed. Sleep quality and social isolation were flagging much higher than academic pressure — that insight completely changed how we planned our semester support workshops."

"The critical-concern threshold immediately showing crisis helpline numbers is the feature that convinced our principal to endorse this tool. Students in genuine distress see urgent help information without any delay or barrier."

"Students trust this tool because it genuinely collects nothing. We showed them the browser's network tab with no requests going out — that transparency is what makes the response rate so high compared to any platform that requires a login."
