Frequently Asked Questions

What question types does the Self-Assessment Quiz support?
Four types: Multiple Choice (4 options, one correct), True/False, Short Answer (free text with a model answer shown as feedback), and Self-Rating (1–5 star confidence scale for reflective questions).
Can students see the correct answer after each question?
Yes — in Step 2 Settings, set 'Show correct answer after each question' to Yes. Instant feedback with explanation text is displayed immediately after the student selects their answer.
How is the score calculated?
Only Multiple Choice and True/False questions contribute to the scored percentage. Short Answer and Self-Rating questions are recorded but not scored, since they are reflective by nature.
Can I randomise the question order?
Yes. Toggle 'Randomise Question Order' to Yes in the Settings step. The order is shuffled freshly each time the quiz is started or retaken.
How do personalised recommendations work?
In the Settings step, enter one recommendation per line in the format '60-79%: Your message here'. The tool matches the student's final score to the correct range and displays that recommendation on the results page.
